Hi! Thanks for checking out my shop. I have loved floral design for as long as I can remember. I have a Bachelors degree in Visual Arts and overall love for design, art and especially nature. My study of floral design began at the Southern California School for Floral Design almost 10 years ago. I am now back to design work for the past 3 years and love each and every piece I create for customers and wedding and event clients. Whether its a simple bud vase or a full event wedding design, I love to share the love for sustainably design flowers and use as many seasonal and local blooms as I can. About Little Shop By The Sea
Hello! I’m Katelyn.I’m glad you’re here. I am the florist and designer behind Little Shop By The Sea. Based in Newport Beach, CA on the Balboa Peninsula, I create airy, seasonal floral designs and store front featuring eco-friendly, plastic free gifts and products. You will see influences in my work of both bohemian California style and the natural organic qualities seen in English gardens. My studio’s goal is to showcase sustainable floral design by using plastic free and foam free floral techniques, composting, and using seasonal blooms.
When I’m not working with flowers, I am playing in the garden, hanging out with my kids, wearing glasses and drinking coffee. My passion for plastic free and eco-friendly living is translated into my technique and design within my work. Thank you for exploring what I have to share.
